Comfort Inn Prospect Park - Brooklyn

Flor and Mauricio helped me find a room that was clean without the strong chemical smell from many cleaning products. I was looking for a carpet-free place without allergens or other asthma triggers, and it took a few rooms to get the right fit. Mine faced north, so it was a little chilly, but the view was nice. I liked the decor and the desk was great for working. I just wish the bed were firmer for better back support. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

A really convenient Brooklyn base, with a quiet neighborhood and easy connections. The R train is about a 10-15 minute ride to Manhattan, and you can walk to Prospect Park, Barclays Center, and the food and shops at Industry City. The room felt fresh after its updates, with a good size for the area, clean modern furnishings, comfortable beds, and a good AC and fridge. Staff were friendly, check-in was quick, and they helped with tips and requests. Free hot breakfast was a highlight, with eggs, waffles, fresh coffee, and plenty of food. Great comfort and value. I’d happily stay again.

The R Line is easy to get to, and I’d stay here again. People coming from the suburbs or out of town might be put off at first by the commercial, industrial surroundings, but it’s a good place. The room was typical for New York and the bed was comfortable. The tub and shower door only slid one way, which was awkward for me because I like to get in on the right side while the water warms up. Parking is limited. In winter, paying for a spot seems advisable so you don’t upset locals who have shoveled out their spaces.

We got to check in a little early, thanks to the kind and accommodating staff. The hotel was comfortable and a great value, with a clean room, a bathroom I really liked, and a light-up mirror. The subway is very close and we felt safe. Breakfast was free, though we slept through it during our one-night stay.
