Essex House felt like home right away. In our previous apartments, my wife and I felt like transactions, but here the staff, especially Katie, are friendly and helpful. They remember small details from conversations, which makes us feel listened to and cared for. The building also shares lists of nearby events in the elevators and sometimes hosts community gatherings. Getting to know people here has made a move to a new city feel less isolating. The amenities are good too, and the staff's care shows in how they run the place. We moved in last fall, and it's been a dream.

It's a great complex in a nice part of the city, with access to walking and biking. The office and maintenance teams are friendly and easy to work with. Mario from maintenance comes by when a ticket needs attention, and he's an outgoing, friendly guy. Essex House is wonderful.

The maintenance crew at Essex House deserves a shout-out. Mario is warm, professional and very capable when fixing things in our apartment. Eddie is friendly and helpful working alongside him, and the team handles problems right away. They really help make this a great place to live. The office staff are wonderful too. They stay on top of all kinds of building issues and show real care for residents' concerns. It's a pleasure working with them. Thank you all!

Essex is a great, secure building in a quiet, pleasant part of Portland. The staff went above and beyond to help us move from the East Coast, and we're glad we found a home here. The service team has also been quick to take care of small apartment issues. Five stars doesn't feel like enough!
