Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Portland Corpus Christi

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nice, and the blackout curtains worked great. We had adjoining rooms, though the door setup between them was wonky. They had no couches and not enough outlets or phone charging stations. The elevator sounded a little clunky. Portland Tx is a very nice place, a suburb of Corpus Christi Tx, with lots to see, and the location was great.

This is my go-to whenever I'm in the area. I've stayed at this Hampton Inn a few times, and every visit has been great. It's quiet and peaceful, with clean rooms and welcoming, friendly staff. Breakfast is fresh and satisfying, and the location is handy for the highway, shopping, and beaches. There are also a few places to eat within walking distance. I love it here.

I booked at the last minute for a birthday celebration. I think the staff member who helped me was Diana, and I hope I've got her name right. She was great, so helpful and nice. The room was clean, though the shampoo caddy was broken. Apart from that, I had a great stay.

We've stayed at this hotel since it opened and always had a good experience, but the last few visits have gone downhill. When we checked in for the April 17-19, 2026 weekend, the man at the desk kept looking at his phone instead of greeting us. We needed a cart, and he said, 'we don't have any upfront,' then went back to his phone. I went upstairs and found one myself. At checkout, I handed in the key and he didn't even look up to say thanks. Our room door was open when we arrived and had to be pushed to shut. A few pieces of bathroom flooring were loose too. The hotel is starting to feel run down, and the service wasn't there. We'll look for somewhere else next time.
