The bed was comfortable, and the rooms are clean. Breakfast is good and free, with the usual options. I’d like a plain Greek yogurt alongside the flavored one. Having a second sink in the room is always a plus.

The pool and hot tub have convenient hours, and there’s a small gated dog run for when we bring our dogs. The hotel is gated, so going out at night feels safe, and late checkout is a great option after a late night. Online check-in was super easy. The complimentary drinks for adults are great, and the breakfast buffet is really helpful for the kids. If you bring your own food, the fridge and microwave work well. Would recommend 10/10.

Hayden Island has plenty of tax-free shopping, and it’s easy to reach the bridge path if you want to walk or jog across the Columbia River and take the river path. Oxford Suites is also about a one-mile walk from the Hilton Convention Center in Vancouver, handy if you’re after some outdoor time. Driving there takes six minutes, or 12 with parking. We often come to Vancouver for kids’ competitions and events on Hayden Island or at the Clark County Event Center, and Oxford Suites is our usual choice. It’s clean, quiet, easy to reach, and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. There’s an indoor pool with toys like beach balls, plus a hot tub. Breakfast and the evening happy hour, with soup and drinks, are fresh and tasty and help save money.

The front desk staff are great, and a free drink or appetizer comes with the stay. My first room was great, but the one with the kitchenette had a toilet that didn’t flush properly. The TVs aren’t the best, though I’m not there to watch TV. I’ve stayed twice for business, and the location works perfectly for that. The service would have earned five stars if not for my last visit, when I was working from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. A cleaner kept knocking despite the “Do not disturb” sign on my door, and I had to tell her to leave.
