Holiday Inn Richland on the River

The beds were incredible, and the rooms were nicely arranged with good amenities for a comfortable stay. Service was quick and friendly. It’s an older hotel, but works well for a stop while traveling to somewhere else. The odd part is that room service has to be scheduled in advance, and I’m not sure how guests are meant to know that. We didn’t get service. I called the front desk and one of the men brought towels quickly, but my used towels are still sitting in the shower!

The curtains had mold on them, and the old windows let cold air and road noise in like they were wide open. I barely slept. The front desk clerk wouldn’t move me to another room, saying, “the flight crews might be checking in soon.” I travel for work often, but I won’t stay at a Holiday Inn again. I didn’t mention the curtains to the staff because I figured they’d be just as unhelpful.

The hotel is clean, and the staff are always friendly and ready to help make you comfortable. The restaurant has a limited menu, but the food is good. Jen and the cook Lucas provide great service there. Cord at the front desk remembers my name and gets me checked in quickly.

I’m changing my review from last night after waking up to use the bathroom and finding the toilet seat had come completely off. It nearly injured me in a very sensitive area. I also couldn’t sleep past 5AM because noise came into the room from every direction. It was the worst hotel sleep I’ve had in a long time. There was hair in the shower from at least two other people, and I was staying alone. I won’t stay here again. Even before that, the room was hotter than the lukewarm shower, and paint was peeling from the ceiling. It looked pinkish underneath, maybe mold. I was already thinking I’d stay somewhere else next time.
