I loved simply wandering around The Mission Inn and noticing new details in the architecture. The archways, courtyards, towers, artwork, and historic touches make the place feel like a living piece of history. Its roots go back to the late 1800s, and that past comes through all over the property. Knowing presidents, celebrities, and other notable people have stayed there adds to the feeling. The property is remarkably well cared for, with a lot of attention to preserving its character. The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is one of the most beautiful and unique hotels I've visited, and from arrival it feels like somewhere special. If history, architecture, or hotels with character appeal to you, it's absolutely worth visiting. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

I paid quite a bit extra for a large room on the fourth floor, surrounded by fountains and gardens, and enjoyed my short stay. It's a beautiful property, and the historic setting is fun. Everything from the bed to the towels and soaps felt first class. I also enjoyed breakfast in the historic dining room, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This was our second stay, and we had a wonderful time in corner junior suite #302. It had windows on three sides, including one looking over the pool. The sheets felt like butter, and the towels were soft and plush. Valet, bellboy, and reception staff were all very friendly. We had delicious Mexican food at Campanas, one of the hotel's restaurants, and there are plenty of other places to eat within walking distance. Just a couple of small issues: the outside of the windows was a little dirty, and the TVs aren't smart TVs.

My girl surprised me for my birthday and Valentine's Day, and I was so happy with how she coordinated it with the staff. We had a great room and view, and I was totally impressed. Everything we wanted to get into that night was close by, and we were really happy with our stay. Thank you guys for a wonderful time.

Julian made our visit especially memorable. He took me and a coworker around the hotel grounds, sharing the history of different parts of the property. He's very knowledgeable about the hotel's past and its unique features. He even had engineering turn the lights back on so we could see them at night. Thanks for such an amazing experience! The staff were all very customer-oriented. The rooms are distinctive and comfortable, especially the soft bedding, and the grounds are beautifully maintained with so much history behind them.
