Quality Inn & Suites Sacramento Downtown Area

People were arguing outside, and I couldn’t sleep. Although the hotel is downtown in Sacramento, the area didn’t feel very safe. I’d booked three nights, but left for another hotel after they didn’t offer me a different room. When I arrived, the floor was sticky and the room hadn’t been fully cleaned. I’d requested a non-smoking room, and the signs say the hotel is 100% non-smoking, but that wasn’t what I experienced.

Harry helped me with everything I needed and gave me tips like I’d gotten from workers at other hotels. I’ve never had an experience like that with anyone else. I’m speechless about how amazing he is at the front desk. Service was 1000/10. I recommend this place a lot.

Over three days, we had to switch rooms twice, which was a huge hassle with all our luggage: three suitcases, work costumes, and food bags. The last room was the worst for cleanliness. It also had only one working power outlet, and none of the outlets by the bed worked. The first room’s broken AC blew only cold air. We’d just finished a 12-hour trip and checked in at 3 a.m., so that was the last thing we needed. When we got back around 1 a.m. the next night, the room had no electricity at all. The staff shrugged and said there was nothing to do but move us again. Please pay closer attention to room maintenance and cleanliness. Guests shouldn’t have to change rooms repeatedly because of these problems.

The first impression was good, but the smoke smell in our room was overwhelming. We stayed anyway since it was just one night and we had to leave at 4 a.m. While getting ready for bed, we spotted a dirty band-aid stuck to the floor beside the bed. Gross!
