Quality Inn University near Downtown

We had a nice stay, and Willie gave excellent customer service. He was very kind, and I was able to check in a little early. The location worked perfectly for our event, with lots of food options nearby. We tried Buddy's burgers and Layne's chicken fingers while in town and enjoyed both. The room was clean and exactly what my husband, daughter, and I needed to rest before heading out. Hot breakfast was provided in the morning, and the rate was affordable. No complaints, and I'd recommend it.

The room had the biggest bedbugs I've ever seen, and the staff were incredibly rude. They refused to refund us because we'd already checked in. The manager was nasty and homophobic to me and my best friend, who's a woman, making multiple insinuations about what we “did” in the bed. We're just friends. Easily the worst hotel experience of my life. Definitely don't stay here if you're LGBTQ, or there with your bff, I guess. 🙄

Very unprofessional. Before booking, I called to ask about a late checkout and was told I could have one. They confirmed it again at check-in. Then, on our last day, they called saying they'd charge extra for late checkout and claimed they had no record of us asking. We had to cut our fun day short and pack up to avoid the charge. The employees seem untrained, and the owner was no help.

The breakfast buffet was kept clean and stocked, and the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the better places I've stayed.
