The building dates back to 1931, and it has a lot of character. Staying here felt like visiting a little museum, full of history and charm. It's right on the beachfront, so you'd expect there might be some sand, but we didn't see any. The whole place was spotless, with freshly mopped floors that even smelled of disinfectant, no dust, plenty of clean towels, and beautiful linens. Everything seemed cared for, and the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews. Can't wait to come back!

The location is great, but I'm not coming back. The room was dirty and had old fixtures. The restroom window was broken and let in freezing air, the heater's battery was dead, and there was no soap for the shower. There was no service phone, so I had to go to another hotel. The service desk gave me a personal number to call. I called twice before someone answered on the third try, then it took 20 minutes to bring batteries and soap. The batteries didn't get the heater working. Don't waste your money.

Our room had an awesome Jacuzzi tub overlooking the ocean, and the setting right on the beach in Santa Barbara was beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I'd highly recommend it for a peaceful, romantic, enjoyable stay, and I can't wait to return.

A real hidden gem right on the beach. The mid-century Mediterranean decor has a lot of charm, and the breakfast was perfect. Staff were amazing, and the SmartTV’s were a nice size with roku. Definitely one of my top choices in Santa Barbara.

The location was great, but I won't stay here again. Check-in took an hour, with angry customers all around. Some people who had paid for rooms were told there wasn't a room for them, and I was given a key to a room someone was already staying in. My room was very dirty and a mess, with no toilet paper or soap. They also kept part of my deposit and never explained why. I've tried calling for an explanation because I did nothing wrong, but they won't answer. Staying here was a mistake.
