The location was the best part: close to the beach and great restaurants, and we could walk everywhere. The garden was beautifully kept, with lush grass and plants, and the outdoor areas were clean. The grounds crew were superb and friendly. We'd looked forward to a relaxing staycation, but left feeling anything but relaxed. We paid a lot and wouldn't choose to stay here again. The pool was closed for maintenance when we arrived Friday, opened later that afternoon and on Saturday, then closed again Sunday morning, so we couldn't swim before checkout. We called before booking to confirm it would be available for our two-day stay and were told there were no issues. The room also had problems. The kitchen dishes were dirty, so I washed each one before using it, and the microwave had food all over the inside. It made me wonder what else hadn't been cleaned or sanitized properly. When we told the staff, they blamed housekeeping, which felt awkward. We did appreciate that the front desk stepped in and cleaned the items for us. Neither TV worked properly. The living room one wouldn't turn on, and the bedroom TV didn't respond to the remote, even after we went to the front desk for fresh batteries.

Quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view and an excellent location. The room had a full kitchen, a spa tub, and a very comfortable bed. The fireplace and AC worked perfectly, and there was even a portable heater in case it got too cold. No complaints, the service was great. I'll be back, thanks!

Being right on the beach was great, and the staff were friendly. We liked the room and enjoyed our stay, apart from a few issues. The TV was too small, and we had trouble getting the AC to turn on. We couldn't use the hot tub because it was occupied every time. Also, workmen were scraping the outside walls while we were still asleep, and left debris on the stairs as we went in and out. Other than that, we enjoyed it.

If all you need is a spot near the beach, the location works. For $300 a night, though, I don't think it was worth it. The breakfast sounded like a nice bonus, but it was just cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, packaged muffins, and bagels in cardboard packaging, which was a big disappointment. The unit shown in the photos doesn't provide AC, it only heats. They said nights get cool enough to leave the windows open, but the walls are so thin we could hear the couple next door having a private, heated argument clear as day. Another nearby room kept trying to cast to our TV at night. The neighbors woke us again at 4:30am. Since there are no phones in the room, I had to go to the lobby to ask for late checkout, and they only gave us another 30 minutes.

Our unit was spotless, roomy, and very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a great stay at the Edgewater Beach Inn and will definitely come back.
