Quality Inn Savannah Midtown

The room needs a better clean. The tub's soap holder looked mildewed, and the washcloths and hand towels didn't look clean. Housekeeping should wipe down the frequently touched areas too. The room's door handle needs replacing, as does the microwave. Check-in service could have been better.

The breakfast attendant was attentive, kept things filled, and tried to make the food better. She deserves credit, and there was plenty of parking too. Our ground-floor room, though, was filthy, with used glasses, plastic wrappers, hair, and dirt around it. It felt as if nobody had cleaned after the last guest. A strong cigarette odor made it hard to breathe, so we left the door open to air the room out despite the cold. The property otherwise seems run down and poorly maintained. We won't be back.

Restaurants and shops are nearby, and we'd stay here again if we're in the area. We spent five nights and it was quiet the whole time. The room was roomy and very clean, with a comfortable bed, a good shower, a toilet that flushed well, and bar soap. The towels were large for a budget hotel. We got fresh ones over the weekend, though I'm sure they'd bring them daily if we'd asked. Best part was the hot breakfast: bacon, eggs, cereal, waffles, coffee, juice, and really good English muffins. The air and heat were quiet too.

The staff have been friendly and professional, and my room was ready for a late-night check-in. It's spacious, clean, fresh-smelling, and has a comfortable king bed. The rooms have been updated, and I haven't seen any bed bugs, despite what earlier posts said. The place looks better than the photos. I'm enjoying my stay.
