The lobby furniture caught my eye, and the staff were warm and kind throughout our stay. We were close to the Space Needle and Climate Pledge Arena, yet it felt quiet and safe. We spent four nights here on our recent vacation and slept well the whole time. The room was very clean and thoughtfully set up, especially for a pet-friendly hotel. The bedding felt plush, and the bed was one of the few hotel beds that hasn’t left my back hurting. We’re planning to book here again when we’re next in the area.

Tia and Raul were wonderful, and Georgia the resident bulldog was sweet and adorable too. We had a great time at the Kraken game and sightseeing over the weekend, and the hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. Climate Pledge Arena and the Space Needle were about a block away, and the monorail took us to Pike Place Market and the aquarium. It was my birthday when we checked in at 9 am. Tia at the front desk noticed, and since our room wasn’t ready, the staff held our luggage while we went out. When we came back, they’d decorated the room and left a bunch of goodies. Such a sweet surprise. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice. Really great location and service, and the staff made the stay. Highly recommend.

We’re already looking forward to coming back. The rooms were comfortable, with colorful, fun furnishings and decor, and everyone we met at the front desk was kind and accommodating. The bar and coffee shop staff were just as friendly, and made some great drinks. The location is especially handy if you’re in town for a Kraken game or another event at CPA, about a five-minute walk away.

The indoor pool and free drink cards at arrival were a nice touch. I used mine at the in-house espresso stand, where Kulson was working. She was really nice and patient while I made up my mind, and she knows how to make a heck of a coffee. Can’t beat waking up to a free Americano! It’s a fun, casual place, and all the staff were lovely to work with. I’ll be back soon.

The power outage is what I’ll remember most, and the response left me disappointed. Guests had to climb several flights of stairs in the dark to reach their rooms. It felt unsafe and was extremely inconvenient. For a fairly expensive hotel, I expected better handling than a free drink as compensation. Otherwise, the Maxwell Hotel is charming. The room was clean, the decor was fun and distinctive, the location was convenient, and staff were generally friendly. It has plenty of potential, but this disruption was handled poorly.
