Quality Inn Shreveport Airport

This place is run down, with roaches even in the halls. The room smelled like weed, and the pool was closed, though we didn’t have time to use it anyway. We stopped just to sleep, checked the bed and thankfully found no bedbugs, then kept our things on a table in the middle of the room. The evening staff were friendly and came to spray after we reported bugs in the bathroom. Morning staff were rude. I definitely wouldn’t stay again. Spend the extra $20-30 for somewhere nicer.

At 1 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, I was about to check in as a Choice Privileges Diamond member. The man at the front desk said he could give us a double room, but wanted to charge $50 to upgrade us from a king, even though Diamond members get a free upgrade. He said the $50 deposit would go toward the room charge, which made me feel he might be trying to keep the money for himself. While I waited, I asked to use the restroom and he refused. I said I’d mention that in my review, and he told me he wouldn’t check us in and to get out of his hotel. It isn’t his hotel, he’s an employee, and he kicked us out. That kind of guest service is unacceptable. Anyone reading this should find another location while they still can. The service here is the worst.

The hotel had a very strong weed smell, and even the non-smoking rooms smelled of cigarettes. Our first room had a toilet that didn’t work, so we moved to another room on the same floor. It was infested with roaches, including on the nightstand, and they didn’t move when the light came on. The AC didn’t work and made a sound like an animal was trapped inside. The room felt very uncomfortable and unclean, and no cleaning service was offered during our stay.

The faucet handle came off, the hair dryer was broken, and there was no lotion dispenser. The shower didn’t work, and the bed cover had cigarette burns. It was a smoking room and smelled really bad.
