Regency Inn & Suites

This was my second stay there, and I couldn't sleep because bed bugs and ticks were biting me all night. I still haven't gotten my deposit back, and they charged me $88 for a one-night, one-bed room that was $45.

It's an older hotel, and some areas need repairs. The bed was clean, the sheets were plain, and the carpet looked clean. The shower was okay, though the water pressure could be better. The front desk clerk really tried to find me a downstairs smoking room for the night. He quickly took me to see it before I checked in. The price seemed a little high compared with the sign.

Roaches as big as a baby's foot, stained towels that never seem properly cleaned, and housekeeping that might show up once a week if they feel like it. The toilet kept clogging or wouldn't flush, so I was always going to the desk for a plunger. When you complain, they basically tell you to deal with it. The owner is very rude and talks to you like you don't matter. The curly haired lady at the front desk is even worse and shouldn't be in customer service. Police are always being called because of dealers and addicts. If you can put up with all that, you'll be fine. Worst place I've ever stayed, trust me.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and the price was good for what you got. The hotel is dated, but I can see it having a lot of potential as a retro hotel. My 15-year-old thought it was super cool, especially the pool area. I'll be going back. The clerk was great and had the manager show me the room before I paid. The manager was incredible. They understand hospitality.
