They charged my credit card three times what they were supposed to, and the manager never contacted us despite several requests. He lives on the property. A guest also fell down the stairs. There were no mats by the doors, and rain had left the floors wet. This hotel is a disgrace to Choice. I booked three rooms. They took me to a single-bed room when I'd clearly booked double, and it smelled of cigarette smoke. In the next room the shower and heater didn't work, the tub was clogged, and the iron was broken. They told us to bathe in a room under construction, where a worker walked in on us while we were undressed. Choice privileges should drop this hotel from its franchise. Awful, horrible, terrible. It should be closed down. Worst stay ever, and I'd never stay here again.

The hotel is dated, but the location near the neighborhood made us feel more like locals than tourists. The staff were great, we got clean towels, the shower was hot, and the AC worked fine. Breakfast wasn't the best and could use an attendant. It's a modest, no-frills place with lots of potential. The rooms are $60 or better, and I think it could do better if guests stopped focusing on the flaws and noticed the good points. I'd come again.

The woman who checked me in was sweet, and the man who checked me out, who I think was the manager, was too. But the woman I spoke with before arriving was rude. I paid a little over $200 cash for a kitchenette suite. I'm a Choice member and an employee, and didn't get a discount, though I know one is possible. The room looked nice, but wasn't clean enough for my one-year-old and my other two kids. I couldn't get a refund, so I had to find another room for the two nights. The tub didn't work, the AC smelled strongly of smoke above the auto setting, the pull-out couch was nasty, and they were out of blankets. It was a terrible stay, but I made the best of a bad situation.

We didn't see any roaches this time, and the carpet seemed cleaner, though we think it was the same room. The front desk staff were pleasant, but the hotel needs work. For a Choice hotel, it's like the ugly stepchild of the group. We'd forgotten when booking online that we'd stayed here four months earlier. We missed the cancellation deadline, or we wouldn't have returned. The toilet was running, the lights were all unplugged, the beds each had only one sheet, and the toilet handle was broken when we tried to stop the running. The shower handle also felt like it might fall off. On our earlier stay, there were roaches, red spots on the carpet, old sheets and worn bedspreads, and one bed wouldn't stay on its rails. The smoking room had no ashtray, the outside doors didn't seem to lock, and the toilet seat was broken. The shower, toilet, lights, TV, microwave, and fridge did work. The front desk staff were pleasant then too. It wasn't a bad room for the price, but the hotel needs major TLC and fumigation for the bugs.

The maid on duty, who said she was off, was rude when we asked for a different room. We'd already gone to the front desk for a plunger after the toilet overflowed with human waste, even though none of us had used it. We asked for a room facing the same side so we could keep an eye on our parked car. The room phone wasn't connected and had no cord, so I had to get one from the desk. The doors say a key is required, but they don't lock. Anyone can walk in from outside, into the building and the rooms. I wouldn't recommend the place. It's cheap, but paying a little extra to stay elsewhere would be worth it. We had to go to the desk for everything, including towels, a plunger, pillows, and toilet paper. No one would bring anything to us, and they seemed annoyed about having to give us towels. We were nearly late checking out because the front desk woman was outside walking her dog and couldn't be bothered to come in and check us out. Absolutely terrible.
