Mansion View Inn and Suite

We stayed in two rooms for St Patrick's, with my wife and a friend. Being just a couple of blocks from obed & Isaac's was handy around dinner time, and the hotel is very close to downtown. Check-in was easy, checkout went well, and our clean rooms had comfortable beds. For the price, I'd recommend it, 10/10.

The room didn't match the online photos, and I stayed only one night. The toilet kept running all night despite my attempts to stop it, the shower soap dispensers were clogged shut, and I wasn't sure the fire alarm worked. The walls had a slapdash paint job, while the desk chair was an old dining room chair with a worn cushion. The air conditioner barely worked, and the dirty walkways need cleaning and paint. The elevator is out of service too.

Management and staff were so friendly, and they shared helpful local tips about places to visit nearby. We had the best stay at this beautiful hotel this week. Next time I'm in town, I'm not staying anywhere else.

It was quiet, and the trains didn't bother us. Some people were hanging around, but they seemed harmless. Our room was reasonably priced and decent, with a newer floor and a clean bathroom, though the place is dated and clearly still a work in progress. I'd take the duct tape off the side curtain. At checkout the lobby was locked, so we couldn't check out normally. We called the number on the door as instructed and were told someone was coming. We waited, but nobody showed, so we left. The location was close to what we needed.
