Hilton Garden Inn Houston/Clear Lake NASA

For business trips, both this hotel and the neighboring Home2Suites have worked well for me. There are several good restaurants just a couple of blocks away and plenty more within a mile, in a nice neighborhood. It’s half a mile off I45, and an easy drive from Hobby or George Bush airports. NASA visitors center is down the road. The hotel itself was clean and the staff courteous.

There was a small roach in the bathroom when I entered the room. Staff dealt with it promptly, but seeing a pest still made me question the cleanliness and upkeep. Elevator 1 also shook noticeably when it stopped and made a loud scraping sound, which was alarming, and the shower felt narrow and restrictive. On the positive side, the staff were professional and courteous, and the hotel is close to shops and restaurants.

The staff were friendly and made us feel like important guests. The rooms had comfortable beds and calm, neutral decor, and the clean, well-lit halls, lobby and exterior were nicely decorated. The location is handy for restaurants, shopping and local attractions. We had two concerns. Only one of the two elevators was working, and it shook and rattled as it started and stopped. That made me nervous, especially since I was on the fourth floor and couldn’t manage the stairs. Snacks at the front desk were overpriced, and since breakfast isn’t included and food orders cost a lot, lowering snack and drink prices would be a nice way to show guests some appreciation.

This was my second stay, and Jeremy is a legend. The rooms are super clean, the place is quiet, and the service is excellent. The long-haired gentleman was great too, though I can’t remember his name. I’d definitely recommend it, 10/10, and it’ll be my regular spot.
