Oceanic Hotel

The staff were great, and the ocean-view balcony looked out toward the convention center with a great view of the boardwalk and beach. The location was good, though loud. But the room was disgusting, and the lack of cleanliness ruined the whole stay. We didn't use the pillows or sleep in the bedding because it was dirty when we arrived. The floor had stains that looked like vomit, and the floorboards were covered and filthy. There were dried boogers with hair along the doors. The chain lock had been painted over so many times it wouldn't fit into place and didn't work at all. There were black mold spots above the bathroom shower.

The big draw is the location: the hotel is right across from the boardwalk and beach, about a minute on foot from the front steps. The rates are cheap, and I'd recommend it for that and the location. The room is basically a bed and bathroom with a pool view, which is fine for what it is. The sheets were a little stained and dirty, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. More like a 3.5.

The staff, including Mr. Mike, Miss Jennifer, Miss Beth, Jocelyn, and Mr Frank, made my stay outstanding. The room was clean, and the bar, pool, and Jacuzzi were well maintained. I had a good time at the tiki-bar, too. It's close to the Wildwood convention center and the beach, which makes it a good choice. After checkout, they kindly let me leave my car parked for a couple of hours. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in Wildwood.

My boyfriend and I stayed Friday to Sunday. The location was perfect, 10/10, and we hardly had to drive because we could walk to the boardwalk. But we didn't like the hotel. It felt dirty, with stains on the carpet, walls, sheets, and blankets. There was literally mold on the sheets, and the towels had other people's hair on them. The bathroom layout around the toilet was kind of weird. We weren't in the room much, but it still felt gross.
