Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Wisconsin Dells

The shower was better than the one at home, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I just want a clean room and a warm shower, and this place went beyond what I expected. They even had good quality soap, which came in handy since I’d forgotten mine. The staff were very friendly and easy to chat with. There’s everything you could want within a few miles, and for the price, this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in lately. I’ll be back.

For $55 a night, I felt it was worth the very low price. The room was clean, though the hotel overall wasn’t the cleanest, and the updated bathroom was pretty nice. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a decent breakfast selection. They also had a pool and hot tub, though we didn’t use either. I wasn’t a fan of getting a tour pitch when we were leaving.

We paid an extra $20 to check in at 1:00, which was nice, but then $50 for incidentals went on my card. They also pitched a “free” six-day Wyndham resort trip, but wanted another card so they could charge $50 for a tour of the Wilderness Resort. When I declined, they kept pushing and wouldn’t take no for an answer. The room was mostly clean, apart from pubic hair in the tub. The tub was in bad shape, and both it and the bathroom sink drained slowly. At least the soap and lotion were there, and the water pressure and temperature were good. The hot tub was out of order, along with many other things on the property. Vending machines were broken and empty, and the small snack area didn’t have much for late night. There are three steps down the hallway, which could make it hard for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. There was soap and hot water, so I’ll give it two stars.

I usually have trouble finding a bed or pillows that feel comfortable, but here I slept like I was on a cloud. The room was clean and quiet at night. Staff were super friendly and knew about an event happening the next day. Breakfast was the expected grab-and-go style. And the shower! After a long drive, its heat and stream helped me relax. We’ve decided to make this one of our regular stops.
