The receptionist was wonderful. We went out to a restaurant together in the evening, enjoyed some wine afterward, and he gave us a bottle as a gift. There’s a pleasant courtyard where you can sit outside, and a few mini markets nearby. We didn’t try breakfast. The room was dull and not very clean, and the bathroom was a disaster. We also couldn’t check in at 15:00 because it hadn’t been cleaned yet, despite the normal check-in time being 12:00. The hotel isn’t very close to the Samarkand sights we wanted to see. An average stay, mainly lifted by a great receptionist.

I didn’t like this hotel :( Be ready for awkward conversations with Bahodir, the top manager, an unhealthy breakfast with cockroaches, and bathroom problems. I keep telling myself, “Don’t worry, be happy,” when I think about that bad trip.

The staff were helpful and breakfast was good. The Wi-Fi simply doesn’t work on the first floor. Fine for one night, I guess.

The owner and staff were kind and tried to help as much as they could. Breakfast didn’t have many choices, but that was okay for me. The bed was hard, and the sheet wasn’t very clean. It was the first time I’d used my sleeping bag on a bed.
