The location in the village is good, and it's just a 2-minute walk to the sea and local food court. I liked the spacious terrace with a kettle, staff and bike parking. The room's tasteful design made us feel close to nature. The host was great, the room and bathroom were spacious, and the king-size bed had a soft mattress. The air-con was excellent and the water was very hot. They provided shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and towels.

Off-season, Cham Island is a beautiful, truly relaxing place. The village gives you a real look at fishing culture, and Homestay 1 is only 50 steps from the water. Khanh and his family were hospitable, friendly, helpful, and just great people. And Khanh's cooking is the best. The. Best. I love this place and might move there.

We were overbooked and sent to another room for the night. It was awful: no towels, hot water, or garbage can, a broken TV, and even a used toothbrush in the sink. Such a frustrating experience. For the last two of my three nights, they eventually moved me to a nice room. I was still very aggravated by the overbooking and their promise of a stay in the room next time, with no compensation at all, not even a free beer.

We had a great time renting motorbikes and joining local fishermen on a memorable fishing trip. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with hot showers and excellent water pressure. The homestay is in a charming village about 20 minutes from the port. We hadn't booked in advance. When we arrived by speedboat, a friendly local girl offered us a place to stay, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. I can't recommend it enough for an authentic island experience.
