We were welcomed to a family dinner on the day we arrived, which was a lovely and kind gesture, and the food was good. Kevin was especially friendly and made us feel at home. The host coordinated things well and helped with tour bookings and anything else we needed. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I’d recommend staying here. Tip: the rooms with balconies are better. Our host shared a photo of the family dinner from our arrival day.

Our stay was brief, but we had a wonderful time. Kevin and the other staff were warm and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. It’s a nice, centrally located homestay in Hanoi that I’d recommend.

Kevin, Huong, and Juong made us feel welcome with how warm, helpful, and accommodating they were. We had a family-style dinner when we arrived, and breakfast each morning. The food was very good. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning, plus soap and toothbrush kits. We had no negatives at all during our stay.

We arrived at 9:30pm and were given a room that had been falsely advertised. It had no TV, which wasn’t a big issue on its own. When we asked for a $1 discount or for the listing to be corrected, Luan became very offended and angry. He said he didn’t care about our nationality and that Vietnam was a “take it or leave it” culture. After we agreed to stay, he said we had offended him and complained that we weren’t grateful for the room. He then strongly pressured us to cancel. I explained that it was very late, we were in a foreign country, and we didn’t want to search for another place, but he demanded that we leave. We were left in a dark alley at night with a large suitcase, three backpacks, and two bags. Nearby hotels had no vacancies, so in that emergency we paid more for a smaller room. The prices may look good, but I don’t recommend this place unless you’re willing to risk having an experience like ours. I hope this review is noticed. Nobody deserves to be stranded on the dark streets of Vietnam.

It had only been open for five months when we stayed, so the homestay felt very new. The staff were friendly and helpful, and booked all our tours at reasonable prices. They also invited us to join them for a home-cooked dinner, and breakfast was included. I had a very pleasant stay.
