Do Thanh Residence

We booked the two-bedroom apartment for one night, thankfully. The beds were the best part. The receptionist was kind, and breakfast was okay, though the portions and selection were small. But the floors weren't clean, the showers had mould and pink buildup, including on the curtain, and we couldn't get hot water even after leaving them running for five minutes. The listing on booking.com said there was a washer and dryer, and the photos at the front desk showed a washing machine in the room. At check-in we were told they no longer had them. The air conditioning worked in the lounge and one bedroom, but not the main room. The indoor pool was very cold, with no heating. Also, a large cement block leaves one toilet unusable if you're over 5'4". For what we paid, it was very disappointing.

Hien at breakfast was always friendly, and Quynh, Tuyen, and Lam at reception helped sort out our room arrangements and pointed us to good local food. The staff were amazing throughout. I stayed at Do Thanh Residence in October on holiday with five mates. The rooms were big, the beds comfortable, and the place felt homey. We liked being surrounded by locals and supporting local businesses. We spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool and sauna with fresh coconuts. We all loved the stay and agreed we'd come back on another trip.

I spent a month here with my family and we had a great time. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to maintenance, was really nice, and the service was exceptional. When something came up, they fixed it right away whenever they could. My room lost a star because it was missing a doorknob, and the bathroom lights stayed out for the last three weeks of my stay. They said the parts were on back order and couldn't fix them. I still love the staff and would definitely return.

Quynh and Phuong at reception took such good care of us during our six-day stay. When I hurt my ankle jogging, Quynh rushed to the pharmacy for me. My friend from Canada got sick, and Phuong brought him medicine and made sure someone would keep an eye on him after her shift ended. Just amazing care. The hotel was clean and artistic, and it felt comfortable and homely. Everyone was kind and helpful. The service was magnificent, easily five stars. Quynh and Phuong's care deserves to be applauded and copied by other hotels. I've recommended the hotel to all my friends from Australia.
