Oyo 558 Hoang Linh Hotel

The location is good and the room was simple but not bad. Still, I wouldn't recommend staying here because of how the staff handled things. I arrived in District 1 from Dalat around 3 or 4 in the morning on Thursday without anywhere to stay, and found this hotel while walking around. They offered a room until noon for 300,000 VND, so I took it. At 6 a.m., reception knocked and told me to leave because guests were coming. I asked to move rooms, but was told they were all full. The other rooms on that floor were empty, and check-ins would normally be after noon, so I felt they weren't being fair. I didn't want to argue over it, so I left and lost the 300,000 VND. Honestly, I felt scammed and wasn't satisfied with the hotel.

There's plenty to do nearby on this busy street, but the rooms stayed very quiet. Great location.

The staff were friendly and helpful, at least. The rest was a mess: street noise woke me several times each night, water leaked through the roof and nearly ruined my computer, and there was dust and stained bedding. I got no fresh soap for five days, and the pillows felt like concrete. The prices were high, and I can't see a reason to stay here unless you want to waste your money. I'll leave the housekeepers' competence out of it to keep one positive note.
