The Myst Dong Khoi

The pool was a letdown. We planned to spend an afternoon there, but when we arrived, we were told a private event was taking over for the afternoon and evening and asked to leave. There'd been no warning and no compensation. The room also had some oddities: no window in the shower, a broken shower fan, and a hard wooden couch with no cushion. The deck tub looked onto an alley, and didn't feel worth the price. The gym was small and in a strange spot, reached by a spiral staircase from the bar. There were a few good things. Our room was quiet, the location was nice, and the pool and bar were pleasant when access was available. Breakfast was a decent buffet, though much like the breakfasts at the other hotels we stayed in and nothing special. Service was the biggest disappointment. At the nearly empty bar, around six staff stood around taking photos of each other and using their phones. At breakfast, staff seemed more focused on their phones than on diners. I agree with an earlier review that management needs an overhaul and that experienced people should be brought in to teach the team. Compared with the other nice hotels we stayed at on our trip, this one had the least experienced and helpful staff, and the room was unimpressive. Surprising for a hotel in the largest city.

District 1 is a great base from here, and we really enjoyed the balcony and Jacuzzi tub in the verdant room. The place has a lovely atmosphere, with nice decor, though some choices traded comfort for looks, like the wooden couch in our room. Breakfast and the upstairs bar were both great, and the spa was pretty nice too. The staff took especially good care of our group. Thanks to the Myst team for a pleasant stay.

The location in district 1 worked really well for us, with most places we wanted to go no more than 20 minutes away by grab. Breakfast outside in the shade was lovely, and my husband and I, both air crew who've had hundreds of hotel breakfasts, agreed it was one of the best we've had. The rooftop pool and bar are gorgeous in the evening, and those shrimp tacos were SO good! We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon here, and it made a wonderful start to the holiday. Our serene corner room was beautiful, very clean, and had a really comfortable bed. Anh greeted us so warmly. When she found out we were on our honeymoon, she arranged a surprise in the room while we were out for the day. Thank you for making those first days so special! ♥️

The rooftop bar was a real plus, with creative drinks and tasty food to go with them. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and had good amenities and comfortable beds. Nothing to complain about there. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The first employee greeted us at the front door, opened the taxi door, and helped with our luggage. Check-in was with a very nice, chatty employee. My partner had a birthday, and even on short notice we received an amazing gift.
