Hotel Weinebrugge

Reading the reviews, I wondered if they were describing a completely different hotel. The rooms were clean, and the furniture must have been good at some point, but now it looked beaten up. The towels were shabby and gray, with threads hanging from one of them. The bed was good, but I could hear people talking. The woman who served us in the restaurant was friendly and pleasant. At reception, though, they asked us to pay everything in advance, which didn't feel very hospitable. Breakfast cost 25 euro and was totally unimpressive for the price: bacon still had part of its packaging on it, and there weren't any vegetables. I don't recommend this place.

The rooms were clean and the service was great. It’s especially convenient if you’re driving. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff made our stay, especially the receptionist. We couldn’t find a taxi in Bruges, and he kindly drove over in his own car to pick me and my family up. You don’t come across that kind of service often, and we were so grateful. We had a lovely stay and couldn’t speak more highly of him.

The hotel is just outside the city, a couple of minutes from the main motorway, and a taxi into Brugges costs about €15. There’s plenty of parking, including Tesla charging points. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the hotel itself was smart and clean. The staff were friendly and breakfast was very good. We’d happily recommend it.
