Hotel Dream

I’ve stayed here three times now. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the manager was friendly and helpful. Reception was welcoming too. From the third floor balcony, you get a nice view over the city. I’d stay here again.

Nothing fancy, but the rooms are OK and the hotel’s location works well. There are coffee shops, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby.

Getting into the city center or to the airport was quick and easy, with a metro stop within walking distance. The rooms are fine for the price, which is a bargain compared with other Sofia hotels. I’d read plenty of negative comments about the staff before arriving, so I was concerned. But I dealt with several people at reception, and everyone was helpful and friendly. They spoke English and Russian, and check-in and checkout were both quick and hassle-free. Maybe those reviews weren’t honest, or maybe the staff issue has been sorted out since they were written. I stayed several nights in March 2025 while travelling through Sofia airport, and I’d come back.

After a long trip from the States, the comfortable beds and great shower pressure were very welcome. Dream hotel also handled our airport shuttle promptly and courteously, even though we arrived at 1:30AM. The next day they went out of their way to drop us near the airport where we needed to go. Perfect for our quick night in Zagreb, highly recommend!
