The rooms are simple, but clean and good value. The front desk staff were especially friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Booking went smoothly at first, and the staff helped with our company invoicing, which we appreciated. Then one technician had bed bug bites over several days, and another actually saw bugs in the room. When we reported it, staff didn't seem interested, and for health reasons the team had to move at 9 p.m. The rooms were also described as dirty and loud. When I followed up, the manager said she hadn't known because she'd been on vacation, and offered very little, covering just one night. We understand bed bugs can happen, but the way this was handled, with no accountability, poor communication, and a dismissive response, was unacceptable. We won't be back.

The hotel's low price compared with other places in Prince Rupert and its friendly, accommodating staff were real positives, but the lack of cleanliness overwhelmed them. The carpets were so filthy that you wouldn't want to take your shoes off. Drapes were rotting and falling apart, lampshades had grime and unidentified stuff on them, and the bathtub was rusty and stained. During our four-night stay, housekeeping seemed not even to rinse it properly. Towels were replaced each day, but the sheets stayed the same and the floors weren't vacuumed. Even the windows looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in ages. The price might appeal to budget travelers, but the dirt was inexcusable.

The front desk person was nice and helpful, but the stay was uncomfortable and not enjoyable. The mural outside is probably the best thing about the hotel. My room was really gross: I counted seven different hairs, yes, pubic hairs, on the stained duvet, and toenail clippings were scattered around the bathroom.
