The location was convenient, and the atmosphere was peaceful enough for either work or relaxing. I could see that management cares about guest satisfaction, with attention to the common-area cleanliness, breakfast, and amenities. The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help with a smile throughout my stay. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, with little touches that made it feel like home. I had an amazing experience from start to finish, and I'll definitely come back. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The staff are really nice, and the location is close to downtown. The rooms have kitchenettes, the price is friendly, and it seems like a safe area. But there's a musty smell, and the renovations look poorly done. If you're here for work, I think it's perfect. For a romantic getaway, maybe not.

The breakfast was a mess: the muffins were moldy, and the pancake machine put wet dough on the plate. We also had to clear hair from the bathtub drain before we could shower, and the sheets were stained. The room was only half renovated but was still rented out, while the hallways looked like a construction zone with no effort to clean up. I understand that renovations come with some disruption, but this was ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The first room still needed cleaning and had a few other issues. We called the front desk and they had no problem giving us a really nice, clean replacement. Awesome customer service, and a great location 👍👍👍

The owners at the Sure Stay Best Western in Smithers were friendly and helpful, even though we arrived very late, and they had a room available after my booking site failed to make the reservation. We got a nicely renovated room and excellent customer service. We'll stay here again!
