The service was terrible, and I definitely wouldn’t come back. No one at the hotel spoke English, and the reception staff were unpleasant. The “onsite private parking” advertised at €10 a day was actually a 15 minute walk up the hill, where you leave the car in the middle of a muddy slope for €20 per day. They had luggage trolleys at reception, but we had to carry everything ourselves in the tiny elevator. After we handed over our clearly Serbian passports, the woman gave us a Russian manual, as if we spoke the language. That kind of grade school geography about another Slavic people is embarrassing. The room’s coffee machine advertised a brand, but there wasn’t a single capsule. And the double bed was two twin beds pushed together, so you and your partner end up falling into the gap.

A lovely place, quite close to the city centre. You can take a bus into town or walk if you prefer, and the forest view is amazing.

I liked how simple and quiet it was, and the price was good. The hotel is in a very quiet part of KV, with ample car parking. Get a room with a view. It takes a while to reach the town centre on foot or by bus, but it’s walkable.

The biggest disappointment this year was the food and service. Compared with previous years, the quality wasn’t great. We bought a bottle of wine at the restaurant intending to finish it outside in the fresh air, but a very annoying lady at the blue house came over and literally threw us out, claiming the area was hers. We hadn’t brought our own wine, we’d bought it at the restaurant. There are very few people at the hotel who speak English anymore, which makes conversation really difficult. We were meant to be in the blue house, but on arrival they told us we’d be in the green house. It wasn’t a big deal, but they could have let us know beforehand.
