Hampton by Hilton Düsseldorf City Centre

Breakfast was the highlight of my one-night stay last weekend at Hampton by Hilton Düsseldorf City Centre. There was lots of fresh food, and the variety was excellent. The cheese and cold cuts selection stood out, and the hot dishes were tasty and plentiful. If you know Hampton breakfasts in Europe, this one exceeds expectations. The hotel is right in the city center, an easy walk to the main train station and old town, so 10/10 for convenience. The lobby felt modern and spacious, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and quiet despite the city center location, with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. It was good value for the price. My only small complaint was that the room had towels but no slippers, shower caps, or basic cotton amenities like makeup remover pads. I'll bring my own next time :) I'd happily recommend it for a short stay in Düsseldorf and would definitely return.

The desk staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than greeting guests. A smile and some friendliness would've been nice, and might have earned the hotel a 5 from me. The room was clean, decent-sized, and spacious, possibly an accessible room, with a safe, kettle, iron, and huge shower. Breakfast had lots of choice and was very good. It's convenient for the station and town centre.

Parking is in an underground garage run by a separate company, and costs €25 per night. The spaces were pretty spacious compared with other Düsseldorf parking garages. We paid about €120 per night including breakfast, which was a pretty good price. The hotel is very close to the train station, and the room was clean, small but fine for a short stay.

The shower area doesn't do much to stop water splashing out, and I wish there had been a refrigerator and complimentary bottled water in the room. Aside from that, the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast didn't have a huge selection, but what was available was satisfying and the coffee was quite nice. Most of the front desk staff were friendly, and the room cleaner was especially lovely. I stayed 3 nights while exploring Düsseldorf and nearby cities, and the location was super convenient, just a 2-minute walk from the central station.
