Holiday Inn - the niu, Flower Konstanz by IHG

A modern, newly furnished hotel with good beds and nice decor. The rooms are big and spacious, and the breakfast is good. The male receptionist was great, though the female staff member seemed a bit stressed. Parking is expensive. There are a few hotels nearby and any of them are as good. I’d use this one again, but only because it’s close to where I need to go in Switzerland.

I had a bad experience trying to get help with cancelling a booking. I called many times, was transferred to different lines repeatedly, and got nowhere. I also went to the hotel in person. The receptionist was nice and said they would handle my request, but days later the booking was still active and no refund had arrived. I kept calling, got transferred again, and still received no help. They said they’d get back to me by phone or email, but nothing happened. I eventually gave up. I’m sorry to leave such a low rating, but there should at least have been some help or follow-up, even if I wasn’t going to get a refund. 👎👎👎

I can’t say much after just one night, but the rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast buffet very nice. Parking is about 40m across a small plaza.

The view was magnificent, and the hotel was clean. The cleaning staff were very nice, and breakfast was good, with lots of bread varieties, though I found the bread a bit firm. The main disappointment was arriving an hour after our check-in time and finding the room still unprepared. The reception staff were strict and didn’t seem sorry about it. I’d go back, but hope they improve room readiness.
