Am Nockherberg Hotel

Breakfast was tasty and had a reasonable range of options, which made the mornings enjoyable. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help with a smile, and they made me feel welcome. It’s well located for the things we wanted to see, with public transport easy to reach. I had a great experience at Hotel am Nockherberg and would highly recommend it for a comfortable, pleasant city stay. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town.

Our room was on the mezzanine and smelled strongly of mold, which made it very uncomfortable. Breakfast was unpleasant too, since the kitchen staff kept standing very close to the tables and it felt like they were invading our personal space. The worst part was what I saw at reception. The receptionist added a parking charge to the bill of the couple in front of us without asking. When they flagged the error, he became verbally aggressive and threw their money back at them. He responded ironically when they asked for the manager, saying there was no need for one. In their position, honestly, I would have called the police. That kind of behavior has no place in hospitality. The whole experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for respect, cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere.

We paid over 500€ for two summer nights, which felt overpriced. The hotel was dirty, dated and noisy. When I asked about the hair and stains on the bed sheets and whether they could be changed, staff were sarcastic and rude. The location is handy, but there are plenty of other hotels with better rooms.

We stayed with our family in August and had a cozy, positive experience. The rooms were clean, and the staff were attentive and responsive to what we needed. They were especially kind and affectionate with the children. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyable, too. If we get the chance to visit this beautiful city again, we’ll definitely stay here.
