Hotel Prinz

The rooms were very spacious and the location was good, but service was poor. I tried several times by email and phone and got no answer. They also tried to charge us for breakfast, which we hadn't booked or eaten.

The receptionists were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included, with basic bread, cereal, fruit, and things like that. The bed was comfortable, but there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom the whole time, and the church next door rang its bells loudly every morning at 07. From outside, the hotel looks nice and somewhat modern, but the rooms are especially outdated, with furnishings that seem 20-30 years old. It was an okay stay, nothing special, and the location felt a bit remote. For the price, I wouldn't recommend it, though this was during Oktoberfest, when hotels probably raise prices threefold.

My train was cancelled, so I stayed one night. For the price, it was a great hotel. The room was clean and huge for one person, and the man at reception was nice. Breakfast was a good option, with sparkling wine served too. I'd gladly return on another trip. One tip: book a taxi from the main station. The walk from Mariahilfe station after taking the tram to the hotel is a bit far and uphill, which would be hard with really big baggage.

Lovely hotel, well located, with lovely staff and a great breakfast. The Wi-Fi wasn't great, and the building work inside during June/July caused some disturbance. My husband found the mattress too soft. In warm weather there's no AC, and the road gets a bit noisy if you open the windows.
