The staff work incredibly hard and are always ready to help. Audrey from guest relations (I’m not sure that’s the correct spelling) even sorted out our boarding passes and printed them when we couldn’t get them to print for the journey home. We’re still enjoying the holiday, but nobody mentioned the mosquitoes in the reviews we read. Bring plenty of repellent and after-bite cream. The pharmacy sells the cream, and we’ve needed it where we missed a spot. We booked Muhammed, who was in a taxi outside the hotel. He was punctual, and the fare was £15 in English pounds.

There’s a wide choice of activities and entertainment, so it’s easy to find something to do. The coral reef just off the beach is also great for snorkeling, especially if you’re a beginner. We had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is excellent, the reception is open around the clock, and everyone on the staff was helpful and smiling.

The entertainment team and the rest of the crew are super nice, polite, and professional. Reception is welcoming too, and they’re always willing to answer questions and help make your stay a good one. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the whole time at the pools or beach, with everything you need there. The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, and it’s close to the beach.

Our one-night stay turned into a nightmare. Both of my children were bitten badly by mosquitoes and became sick. The room wasn’t nice, and the pools weren’t either. The water wasn’t warm, and although we asked for a ground-floor room because of our small children and stroller, they put us on the third floor. The booking was a terrible experience from the start. We waited a long time in the lobby while they did little to resolve the problem, so I had to keep asking. They charged my card three times and then said I had to pay $15 for a child, even though I’d already paid through the booking. We’ve enjoyed our stays at other hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, but Ivy Cyrene ruined all the excitement.
