I’d planned to stay just one night while travelling solo in Madrid. On the day I was meant to leave, my phone was pickpocketed. It had my boarding pass and access to my bank accounts, among other things. I told the receptionist, inna, and she was incredible. She let me use her phone to call my parents, helped me print my flight tickets home, and gave me directions. Without her, I don’t think I’d have made it home. My parents were so grateful too. Please give her a pay rise. Thank you, inna! 😁

The room was filthy and smelled bad. There were dozens of drain flies in there, including the one in my picture. The outside shutters wouldn’t close, and the curtains were cut so thin they didn’t shut properly either, so streetlight came straight in. The service was ridiculously bad. Honestly, stay somewhere else unless you hate yourself.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. It’s a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced place with what you need for a night or two. I’d stay again.

A clean room with a mini fridge, kettle, and safe, plus friendly, helpful staff. The location is ideal, just a few meters from Gran Via, with plenty of nearby shops and restaurants.

The room was decent and spacious, and they welcomed us with a bottle of brut. Staff were friendly, and the location is great. I’m a light sleeper, though, and could hear movement in the corridors and reception. It’s also annoying how much maneuvering it takes to open the building and hostel doors.
