The location makes it easy to get around, though the area is busy and can be noisy. The room was good for the price. You get what you pay for.

The staff were very helpful with our bags before check-in. They went beyond what we expected: they checked us in and gave us the key at 10:30am, then put our bags in the room once it was ready. After a full day of sightseeing, we could come straight back to our room. It was also more spacious than we expected, with a good-sized bathroom. Great location, with an easy bus ride or walk to Atocha station and the city center.

Montse and Maite were both so kind and helpful, and the hostal itself was charming and very clean. The beds were comfortable too. It’s easy to walk to Atocha station and the main sights, with the metro just 100 metres down the street. I’d come back for another Madrid city trip. I’d had trouble through Booking.com, but once I contacted La Vera Hostal directly, everything went smoothly. Muchísimas gracias por todo.
