We stayed all inclusive for 4 days. The beach is just two streets behind the hotel, though I’d recommend Cala Pi beach, which is smaller and cozier. The hotel was clean and had good amenities, including a sauna, indoor heated pool, gym, snack bar, and lounge bar for cocktails and drinks. Our room was spacious, but the bathroom door and sink weren’t well done, and water leaked a little during showers. The buffet was good, but it was almost the same food every day during our stay. Maybe they could add more seafood. Staff were friendly and helpful, including arranging a rental car for 59€/day so we could explore the island. Be careful with parking, since they enforce the rules strictly and issue fines quickly for illegal parking. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport by A2 bus, costing 4.5€/per, and about an hour from downtown Palma by public transport. The one-way bus fare is 2€ and you can pay by credit card, which is very convenient.

The beds were comfortable, but if you’re a couple, ask for a double bed. Our room had two separate beds pushed together, and on the slippery floor they kept sliding apart and around whenever we moved. I’d also recommend the swimming pool and coffee from the bar across from the restaurant. The coffee in the all inclusive restaurant wasn’t very good. The walls are thin, so light sleepers should keep that in mind.

We were there for a couple of days and had a fantastic stay. Nuria the assistant manager paid close attention to the little details and helped make the visit so good. We’d highly recommend the hotel to everyone, and the all inclusive option too, as it comes with a lot of benefits.

We’ve just come back from a few days at the Occidental in Plays de Palma, after visiting a few months ago, and enjoyed it all over again. The staff were kind and kept checking that we were having a good time. Joaquin and his restaurant colleagues were very attentive, and Laura at reception deserves a mention for exception service. My name is Arnold ( Arnie), and as my filmstar name suggests, " I'll be back!" Well done to everyone.
