The rooms are on the small side, but the staff more than made up for it. Everyone was kind and patient. Our room was nice, the shower was warm, and the bed was good. There’s a little bread shop next door that gave us that authentic French 🥖 feel. The location worked well for us, and it wasn’t as expensive as staying much closer to the Eiffel Tower. I’ll come again next time I’m here.

Our room stayed really clean, and the cleaning lady was very experienced. The rooms are quite small, and the hotel was being renovated when we visited, but the service was great and we still had a good experience 🥰

My sister uses a wheelchair, and Mr. Halidi at reception and Mr. Matoussi, the security officer, helped us in every way they could, often before we even needed to ask. Their support was respectful and sincere. Mr. Halidi was always approachable and patient with our questions and requests, handling everything professionally and with a warm smile. Mr. Matoussi showed such steady attention, kindness, and humanity. Their care went far beyond what we expected and made our stay unforgettable. I’m amazed by how wonderful they were. A huge thank you to both of them, they’re a real credit to the hotel.

The tram right outside is a big plus if you want to spend a lot of time exploring Paris, and the room itself was very clean. My first visit back in ten years left me satisfied with the basic hygiene: the beds and pillows were clean, with no sign of lice, fleas, ants, or anything like that, and the showerhead and facilities weren’t rusty or dirty. The cleaning staff were kind and helpful. Before the toilet paper problem, reception staff had also been proactive with local information, travel tips, and looking things up for us. We’re three people staying here for more than half of a month-long trip in France, with quite a lot of luggage. We chose to clean the room ourselves and take out our own trash rather than ask for room cleaning. When towels wouldn’t dry fully or we ran out of toilet paper, we went downstairs to ask at the front desk. A little while ago, the desk staff had stepped away and someone in security clothing seemed to be covering it. They asked whether we were all staying in one room, then said they could only give us one roll of toilet paper. We weren’t completely out, so one extra roll and coming back later could technically have been fine. But the way it was handed over, as though one room meant we could only have one roll, felt unpleasant. I asked if they were low on stock and that was the last one. They said yes, which made it feel questionable. The roll also looked discolored compared with the ones we’d had before, which made me very uncomfortable given what toilet paper is used for. We have three or four days left here, and the whole thing left a bad feeling. That one interaction wiped out the positive impression the earlier reception staff had made. There are other practical problems. The central heating doesn’t work properly, there’s no ventilation in the bathroom or shower, and the windows don’t open. The only way we can air the room is to leave the hallway door open. There’s a TV but no refrigerator. I’m sleeping on a bed, but on the lower level there’s only one blanket to share, and the upper level has just a thin throw. I’m using my coat as an extra cover. With three large suitcases, there’s nowhere near enough room to open them properly. Over the year-end and New Year period, the elevator broke down. I understand accidents happen, but it was hard for my companion with knee problems to get up and down from the higher floors. We decided to rest at the hotel, but construction noise started at random times with no notice or explanation. Back home, guests are normally told what work is being done and when it will be noisy, and asked to understand. I wondered if this was just a Paris, France thing. We didn’t know what the construction was or when it would finish, and without earplugs the sudden, unpredictable noise made it impossible to rest. I’m writing this down before checking out because, thinking about it again, the toilet paper incident still makes me angry.

For the low nightly price, the small rooms are completely acceptable. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the tram stop is only about a 30-second walk away.
