Renewing a titre de séjour is a simple process, yet the wait to get it processed was unbelievably long. Then once it was ready, there were no appointments available to collect it!

The staff are patient and very helpful, and you can count on them to resolve your problem. Just allow more time than you might expect for the work. If your appointment is for a particular hour, I’d get there at least 30 minutes early to pass around the time.

The treatment of foreigners here really breaks my heart. Even when people are trying to follow the rules, the security guards outside the prefecture treat them like criminals, won’t speak kindly, and won’t even help with basic information. It’s a terrible experience in France.
