The Torrance Hotel

The staff were all lovely, especially Amy, who was very helpful and never seemed to stop. She’s a real credit to the hotel chain. We had a lovely room and the food was excellent. A very high quality hotel, and we’ll definitely be back.

There’s plenty of parking and it’s in a convenient spot. The staff are very good, especially with functions, so I’d consider using it for one. Just be aware the tables are close together and it gets very loud, so it’s not a place for a private conversation. The food was a bit bland and disappointing.

I stayed one night last week and would come back. The hotel was clean and tidy, with friendly, helpful staff and a decent-sized car park that was free to use. My bed was fine and the shower got hot, with fairly strong pressure. The room was a little dark, and the tea and coffee tray wasn’t fully stocked. Though it’s near a main road and a few shops, it was quiet and I wasn’t disturbed.

My father’s funeral tea was here this morning, and I left disappointed. Family had travelled from near and far to be there. We were offered a drink when we arrived, but the tea we really needed didn’t come until ten minutes after the sandwiches and sausage rolls. The next pot tasted like hot water and milk. There were scones, but no butter or jam to go with them.
