We had lunch here on Monday and were greeted at the bar by two young women. There was plenty of parking, and the dining room was spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated for Christmas. We chose main courses and desserts from the regular menu and the lunchtime specials. My wife had the turkey Christmas dinner and said it was exceptional; the presentation was first class. I went for the homemade goat curry, which was full of flavour and just the right level of spice and heat. The meat was locally sourced, which is a good sign. My wife’s sticky toffee pudding looked lovely and, I’m told, tasted wonderful. She definitely wasn’t sharing! I had a very well presented cheese board, and for once there were enough crackers for the cheese. I’d recommend a visit if you’re on the west side of Hereford.

Lunch with three friends was, as always, excellent for both food and service. There was a great choice of dishes, including plenty of gluten-free options. We ordered the pastrami sandwich, cod loin, and lasagne, and all of them were really tasty.

Fourteen of us ate at The Bay Horse last night, and everyone enjoyed the Christmas roast. It was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly, and the place was clean and decorated nicely for Christmas. A ten out of ten meal, and I’d recommend it to my friends.

We went on a Friday afternoon to attend a wake. It’s a busy place just off the main road, and the on-site parking was quite full then. The facilities were clean, the staff helpful, and the food provided for the wake was lovely. The Victoria sponge was perfect. I’d recommend it.

Alfie and Lilly looked after us at Sunday lunch and were so friendly and accommodating. We couldn’t fault the service, and the meal was exceptional, cooked perfectly. Many thanks to you both. Five stars to the chef, and I highly recommend this pub. Denise and Emma
