Shepherd Apartments

Really good quality accommodation for a full self-catering stay. It's easy to get into Leeds city centre, even if some taxi drivers don't know the area. There's a great chippy next door too. I'd recommend it.

Nice enough little flat for a boys' weekend in Leeds. It was meant to sleep six, but four felt more comfortable unless you're happy to share beds. One bathroom between the four of us was a bit of a stretch.

We were a group of 15 Christian women attending a Christian conference and paid £105 each for four apartments, but on arrival we were given only two. One had seven women and ours had eight, with just one bathroom. Two people were expected to sleep on couches or an inflatable bed that was burst. In one room there were four women and in another there were two. The apartment was dirty and scruffy. There was no light bulb in a bedroom, and the bedrooms were in poor shape. I had to hold the wardrobe against the wall while getting out of bed. The towels were thin and worn, the bathroom handle came off in my hand so I had to pull the door open, the leather couches were ripped and dirty, and the dining table looked ready to break. We were told by the owner that we didn't get four apartments because of unforeseen circumstances. We complained and insisted on different accommodation or we'd contact Trading Standards. Eventually four of us were moved to another apartment that looked brand new. The apartments are rented with false information. They should be inspected. The one we stayed in would have failed every health and safety report.

The rooms were dated, and the bed sheets still had makeup on them and didn't smell washed. We also couldn't get the oven to turn on. At check-in, we waited 15 minutes for the manager. When I tried to contact him, his phone didn't seem to work, and when he did answer, he told me to stay somewhere else. On the second day, we asked for one night's money back so we could find another place, but this was flatly refused on a Tuesday night. After such an awful stay at SHEPERD APARTMENTS, the management seemed very greedy. I was glad to leave and definitely wouldn't recommend it.
