Classic Hyde Park Hotel

The staff were lovely, and being buzzed in gave me a sense of security. They also looked after my bags after checkout, which I really appreciated since my flight was later. It’s a short walk from Paddington station, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I could get there from Heathrow. Finding a cafe for breakfast in the morning was easy too. The room was small, but I don’t come to London to sleep. There was no AC, though the fan kept it cool. There’s no lift, so rooms higher up may be difficult for people with mobility challenges. I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The hotel was very clean, the staff were super friendly, and our room at the back was very quiet at night. It was a nice little room with a comfortable double bed and a good little shower, near Paddington station and Hyde Park.

For £145, I expected more than a one-night midweek stay without breakfast and a shower that was stone cold. It felt overpriced. The location is convenient for Paddington, and the small room was fine for one person, with a fairly comfortable bed. People with mobility problems may struggle with the several flights of stairs.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is really close to the railway station. We booked it for a gig so we wouldn’t have to rush home. The room did the job: tiny, but clean and comfortable. For a longer stay or just as a base, I’d probably look elsewhere. It was also very warm. On a scorching summer day, I think it would’ve been unbearable.
