For a one-night stay at this price and so close to the tube, I don't have much to complain about. The bed was clean and comfortable, long enough for me at 6ft4in, and didn't squeak. I was impressed by the facilities and their condition given how many people must use the place. The communal kitchen was great, with guests making full meals and breakfast. I had coffee with 6 Ukrainians, who were really nice. The Portugal Lady at reception on Feb18th was lovely and explained everything from arrival to departure in detail. My four-person room was smaller than others I've used, though that wasn't an issue. I would have liked a bed curtain, especially since the two ladies in the room seemed a little uncomfortable sharing with two men. The place feels a bit tired and has a strange smell in some areas. I knew the pub downstairs was noisy until 1am and it didn't bother me, but light sleepers should consider that, and the bathrooms right outside some doors are noisy in the morning. I'd probably choose St Christophers Inn next time, since I prefer it and it had no issues for me, plus more high-tech check in and security. Still worth considering on a budget.

The location made it easy to get to shops, restaurants, and public transport. My room was comfortable, clean, and well cared for, with what I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I had an amazing time and would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area. Thankx

The rooms have plenty of space, and cleanliness is generally well maintained. I found the hostel comfortable and equipped with the facilities I needed for a pleasant stay. The narrow stairs were the one drawback, as they made it awkward to carry heavy luggage.

It's fairly central, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. Loud music from the bar directly underneath plays EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and makes sleeping difficult. On our third day, the toilets were ruined and water from the toilet came through the ceiling. All the toilets became unusable, leaving only the one at reception, and we couldn't use the bath either.

The hostel is in a great location, but one staff member there is an obvious racist. When I came back late at night, one of the Algerian guys who works there accused me of being a thief and said racist things. He said he hadn't seen me earlier that day, so I didn't belong there. I told him I'd checked in and gone out to see the sights, but he didn't believe me. I'm a black American, by the way.
