The Griffin Belle Hotel Vauxhall

The food was tasty, with generous portions and plenty of choice, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Mark welcomed us with complimentary drinks as soon as we arrived. Our room was a good size and very clean, with a roomy bathroom and a comfortable bed. We definitely recommend The Griffin Belle and look forward to staying again.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and a great way to start the morning. The night before, the food had been fantastic, full of flavour and nicely presented, and we were given a complimentary drink too. My partner and I stayed at The Griffin Belle and had a brilliant experience throughout. The manager was attentive and welcoming, and the bar staff were lovely, making the place feel relaxed and friendly. We'd recommend it and would like to come back.

There's a bar with tables where you can sit, have a drink, and relax, plus TVs showing sport and news. It's nicer than accommodation where you're stuck in your room. Breakfast is included, and they gave us a free drink on arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was our second visit, and we'll stay again. Prices are better if you book direct instead of through Booking.com.

The room was tiny, and sound travelled straight through the walls. I could hear the people next door as if they were in with me. A bright neon sign outside my window shone through curtains that barely blocked it, and I hardly slept. For one night, this was a horrible stay, and I wouldn't come back. I'll recommend that my company take the hotel off its approved booking list. The WiFi was unusable, so I couldn't do the work I needed to, and staff only said it was down without explaining whether anyone was fixing it. The shower barely trickled and was only lukewarm. The dials seemed to have been set to severely limit the pressure and temperature. Then the power went out in my room, so I went downstairs to reception in the pub for help. The staff member couldn't initially work out where the socket or switch was, and it took much longer than it should have to sort out.
