Clayton Hotel, Manchester Airport

I had lunch at the Grill restaurant while staying here and really enjoyed it. We tried the Chili Beef con carne, fish and chips, pizza, and cajun chicken pasta. The portions and flavours both satisfied us. Yasemin served us, and she was delightful, chatting with us in a friendly way. It was a pleasure talking with her. I'd happily stay here again.

After a late flight home from holiday, I stayed for one night. The room was fresh and clean, spacious, and waiting for me after a quick check-in. The bed was comfortable and the linen was lovely. Staff also helped with my car: I registered it as I checked out, walked five minutes to collect it from the drop and go car park where it had been during my holiday, then came back to the hotel for my luggage instead of dragging it along. A great overnight stay. I'll use the hotel again.

I've stayed at this hotel several times, and the staff, especially at the bar, always make me feel welcome. John served me today and was both professional and friendly. He kept up a little conversation and made sure my request was handled efficiently, with good knowledge of the menu and real attention to detail. Thanks, John, for a lovely experience!

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean, though some of the furniture looked a bit old. The bathroom was much the same. The rooms are acceptable, so this is a good option if you have an early flight and need somewhere to spend the night. I left too early for breakfast, so I can't comment on it.
