George was such a friendly host. He met us out on the road, helped us settle in, and made the stay memorable. He even offered us a bottle of wine and gave us great advice about Santorini.

The room was spacious and very quiet, though it may feel a little stuffy. The name means "cave," and there are no outside windows apart from the main entrance. I stayed three days through Airbnb, and the room was cleaned and towels replaced once. It was fine during my visit, but summer could be difficult without air conditioning. Getting there involves a 15-minute uphill hike from Thira village and a few stairs down. Leaving luggage was tricky, though they said it could be kept at another apartment below the village. I wasn't sure about the location at first, but there is a bus stop for Oia nearby, a sunset lookout close by, and good restaurants at reasonable prices in the area, so I ended up satisfied. Contact through Airbnb was difficult, so they used WhatsApp. Since we don't use WhatsApp in my country, I had to ask my younger sibling to deal with the messages.
