I've stayed in over 40 countries, and this was the best hotel stay I've ever had. The hosts are incredible, people I felt I could trust to recommend and arrange everything for our holiday, from transfers, rentals, restaurants, and trips. They're also full of wisdom we'll never forget. The location is peaceful, set back from the action, but it's only a five-minute walk to where everything is happening. The architecture is beautiful throughout. Breakfast was wonderful, lovingly made and served each morning. The fresh water pool is a delight, with sun all day and spectacular sea and mountain views. Pulling all my faculties together, I can honestly say the stay was perfect. I long to return.

The owners were super friendly and attentive to what we needed, and the hotel itself was excellent. Our room was comfortable and had private outdoor space. Breakfast was nice, but there was no food or drink available at the hotel after breakfast. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, and it takes around seven minutes to get to the bus, which can take you to Fira and Eau. The beach area has shops and places to eat.

The siblings who run Hotel Santa Elena manage it brilliantly. They're warm and welcoming and make sure everything is taken care of. It's calm and peaceful, a nice place to unwind, and the simple, thoughtful design has what you need to feel at home. The hotel is very clean and cozy, just right for a relaxing holiday. Breakfast is simple but complete, with all the essentials for a good start to the day. There's parking if you're travelling by car, and it's a short walk to the beach and close to a bus stop, so exploring the island is easy. A lovely place that makes you comfortable. Highly recommended!

Sofia greeted us warmly when we arrived and made us feel at home. Our room was small, but nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. We had a lovely balcony over the garden and pool. Breakfast was excellent in the garden, with beautiful views of the sea and sunrise. The accommodation is a bit of a walk from the beach, while shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot. Sofia's hospitality more than made up for the walk. She recommended great restaurants when we arrived, then prepared a breakfast snack for us to take to the airport. She called it a "small box," but it was plenty of food for the time there. She also made us excellent coffee at 7 AM. The only downside was that we could stay just two nights. We're grateful for the lovely welcome and will definitely return if we're back in Santorini.

Sofia and Yannis were the kindest, most accommodating hotel owners I've ever met. We absolutely loved our stay at Santa Elena, and now I'm worried other hotels won't live up to their very high standards.
