The Emperor Hotel

I love the Wan Chai neighborhood. It’s quiet and feels residential. The hotel is easy to spot on a street corner, with a distinctive exterior design. I’ve stayed here twice, with my previous visits in 2024. The room was good, I slept well, and I enjoyed my stay 😌

The rooms were clean and spacious enough, and the air conditioning felt just right for Hong Kong’s climate. Staff were helpful and went out of their way to make our trip easier, and the rooms were cleaned every day. I’ve traveled a lot and haven’t stayed anywhere better. I’d definitely recommend this place to couples visiting Hong Kong 😁.

The free breakfast is only included for two, according to the booking I made through agoda. If you’re travelling with a child, breakfast costs 78 HKD for them, even if they barely eat, and the buffet is almost the same each day. That’s the only real downside for me. My deluxe room on the 15th floor was small but adequate, with good views. There are three bus stops within a 500m walk, Wan Chai MTR is 800m away, and the free shuttle was very helpful. Check-in and checkout each took just 5 minutes. I asked for about an extra hour before checkout and the front desk agreed without charging. There was no noise or disturbance from nearby rooms. It’s a very good budget hotel in wan chai, and I had a pleasant stay.

The location was good, and the bathroom was a decent size. My room was clean and well cleaned each day, though the fridge didn’t work and the room itself was a little small. USB connections and internet were average. The gym was okay, but had little equipment, no towels, and not much of a view.
